sound like two very dissimal words to me. But forensic is “The recognition, collection, identification, individualization, and interpretation of physical evidence, and the application of science and medicine for criminal and civil law, or regulatory purposes.” Adobe Photoshop deals with photographic evidences.

Adobe Photoshop helps by clarifying the images to an extent it can be used as evidence in court. Here is an intersting tutorial and there are websites dedicated to this subject. One of them is this.

  1. Your definition of “forensics” seems a bit narrow and addresses only half of the process. As I point out in my blog, ( Forensics, or Forensic Science can be defined as applying a broad spectrum of tools and techniques to answer questions about a particular piece of evidence in the legal system. The word “Forensic” comes from the Latin word “forensis” meaning forum. This is why Debate class in school is often called “Forensics.”
    So, you see, that the use of the tools can only get you so far. You need to be able to explain your technique and your results to the “forum,” or in our case, to the jury. Cheers, Jim
